Whirlwind of a Christmas (Day)

Our Christmas, much like everyone else's, didn't end Christmas Eve. The next day we spent the entire day with more family!

Christmas with Grandad and Nana
Waverly trying to get Zac's attention. She loves him.
 Beautiful girls!
 That's about right.
Still wearing his Harry Potter scarf.

Christmas at Grandma and Papa's
Ready to get the party started.
 Just adorable.
 First rocking horse.
 Uncle Tawn and Kay
LOVE.
Sickly baby and unaware-soon-to-be sickly Momma.

Christmas is a lot more fun with kids. I've gained a new perspective on things since being a mom and not only is it really "not about me", it's REALLY "not about me" and I'm totally okay with it. It seems parents lose a little of their child-like selfishness when they have children of their own and it all flows out of the love that they have for their children... kind of a glimpse of how the Father feels for the Son and for us.

Whirlwind of a Christmas (Eve)

The holidays are always crazy for us; however, this year was even more so. Not only was it Waverly's first Christmas, she was sick the whole time with a double ear infection and pink eye. But regardless of how Waverly felt, she was amazing as usual and we had a great Christmas.

Christmas with Momma and Daddy
We didn't do gifts for each other this year. Trust me, buying for Waverly and helping her open her gifts was fun enough!

Christmas Eve at BB and GDaddy's
Christmas Eve dinner... entertainment
Starting the gift opening ceremonies
Future piano player (I hope!)

I made it. Yes, I'm bragging.

Reading Harry Potter. Don't judge.

 Aww, so cute (he he)
Haha. She can't figure out the sticker on her forehead.
 Momma and her girl.
Telling secrets. Ps. I made this shirt based off of one I saw at J.Crew called, Floating Bows. It's not as fancy, but I think it's cute. And yes, I'm bragging again.
Kisses for Daddy before we head home.

Wilda is 9 1/2 Months Old!

Obviously, I'm a little late posting this nine-month photo. I had to throw blankie in the mix to keep her from grabbing the elephant or picture frame. These photos just get trickier and trickier every month!

What's worse than posting her photo late? Not taking an eight-month photo. At all. I thought about it all month and next thing I know, she's nine months old. Fortunately, I love to take photos of this little cutie, so I have plenty from her eight month; however, none are in this post. Instead, I've posted some of my favorites from month nine...

Just helping clean out the refrigerator

Think creative.

World, meet Wilda Wildhead.

Waverly loves to read. The same book. Over and over and over. She gets pretty bossy about it, pushing the book at me until I open it again. It's funny the first couple of times, but gets old pretty quick, so we're working on the sign for "please". I figure it's never too soon to work on manners!

Hollywood! Our new diaper change entertainment.

Mid-surprise face, but see her cute little bow?? My mother-in-law found these adorable little bows that can actually stay in Waverly's hair! Not only does its stay in, she doesn't even know it's there! Yay!

Ps. She is my most favorite child in the entire world.
