Just a couple of months and we will be heading home for our first furlough where we will thoroughly enjoy all of America's bounties!

How To Send Packages:
The most cost efficient way to spend packages is using the USPS International Flat Rate boxes. Pick up a box from the post office and take it with you to pack.
PACKING THE BOX...
- Take items out of their original packages if the packages add unnecessary bulk. For example, muffin mix packets and oatmeal packets can be used as filler/cushion; they can even be packed in Ziploc bags and used as filler/cushion. If there are baking instructions on the box, cut them out and put them in the box. Also, candy is good to take out of the original boxes and use as filler. Take note: chocolate WILL melt.

SECURING THE BOX...
- Use clear packing tape to seal the box, then tape over the clear packing tape with colored or
patterned packing tape. This is another defense to help ensure that our packages will not get opened

SHIPPING THE BOX...
- There is a place on the box for our address. Write it in permanent marker or thickly with pen.
- At the post office, you will fill out a customs form and will have to list the items in the box. Please list them very generally; i.e., 2 canned food, 1 toy, paper, cake mix, 3 shirts, plastic bags and list their value at garage sale prices. In Ft Dauphin, we are taxed on the value of the package! This will be most helpful for us.
- If you send clothing-type items, please remove the tags before sending.

It takes about 4-8 weeks for a package to get to us. We can let you know when we receive it.
